The Centre

Kadampa Meditation Centre Lancaster

Welcome to Kadampa Meditation Centre Lancaster. The Centre was founded by the renowned Buddhist meditation master Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. The Centre is located in central Lancaster and provides a peaceful and relaxed environment in which people can discover the benefits of meditation and modern Buddhism for themselves. We hold regular classes and courses in Lancaster where anyone can experience the benefits of meditation and deepen their understanding of Buddha’s teaching’s. Everyone is welcome.

Resident Teacher

Rosy McDaniel

Rosy has been a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche for more than 25 years and as a result is an inspiring example of Modern Kadampa Buddhism in practice. She presents the teachings with beautiful clarity, warmth and sincerity, gently guiding people to find within themselves inner peace and lasting happiness.

Sarah Kneafsey

Sarah is an engaging teacher who is always relatable and up-lifting. Drawing on her own experience, she inspires others to integrate practical meditation techniques into busy, modern daily life. Sarah teaches the Mindfulness for Beginners class on Wednesday mornings and the Silverdale class on Wednesday evenings.

Membership

Becoming a supporting member is the most economical way to enjoy all our classes, workshops and retreats. If you attend classes regularly, your membership will represent substantial saving over paying for individual classes and will provide you with more opportunities to deepen your meditation practice. Your membership is also a wonderful way to support the Centre’s activities throughout the year

Kadampa Meditation Centre Lancaster is a registered charity and relies on the income from classes and donations to support it’s activities and facilities. Your generosity will help us to fulfil our vision of spreading Buddha’s timeless wisdom in order to help everyone develop inner peace and harmony in our society.

Kadampa Meditation Centre Lancaster is both a non-profit and registered charity. All work done at the Centre is done voluntarily and there are many ways you can support the activities and help us flourish. Volunteering is a fun way to meet like-minded people, learn new skills and get more involved. Volunteering can be undertaken by anyone and can take as little or as much time as you wish. Every little help will be greatly appreciated!
