Covid-19 Response

We decided to close Chenrezig KBC  and its branches to all face to face classes and events from the morning of Monday 16 March.  We took this decision to protect those attending our classes, the wider community, all the residents of Chenrezig KBC and our extended community.

We instead offered  classes via a live stream or as an audio recording. Having  reviewed  recent government  guidance for the opening of Places of Worship we have decided that it is safer to continue to offer our classes live-streamed or as an audio recording for the time being rather than opening for in-person classes.  We will keep this decision under review.

These classes are only available to people who live in Lancaster, Morecambe and the surrounding areas from Arnside and  Kirkby Lonsdale to Garstang. (see terms & conditions 4 on home page). Live streams are currently being organised by Kadampa centres in other areas. Click here to find out your nearest centre https://kadampa.org/map

The mother centre of this tradition, Manjushri KMC near Ulverston is closed for classes and events but the temple, shop, cafe and grounds will be open from 20 July with certain restrictions ( see https://manjushri.org/re-opening for details)

The International Fall Festival will be streamed online:

Your well-being is of paramount importance to us and we are going to do our best to continue to offer the benefits of meditation and Dharma (the peaceful minds we gain from practising Buddha’s teachings) to everyone in Lancaster, Morecambe and the surrounding areas at this challenging time.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. May everyone enjoy inner peace and be protected from inner and outer sickness.
