Retreat Sessions Suitable for Everyone
Learn how it is possible to be happy all the time and to permanently free yourself from all suffering through following the Buddhist path of wisdom and compassion. What could be more meaningful than this?
You can drop into any session; no need to book, just turn up, relax and enjoy.
Each one hour session will include a short talk and a guided meditation with simple prayers that remove negativity from our mind, increase our good fortune and make our mind peaceful and happy.
All our classes and events are suitable for beginners and teach how to meditate and reduce stress, anxiety and other negative states of mind. Learn how to become peaceful, relaxed and happy through simple meditation techniques.
In the breaks relax in our reception area or take a short walk along the canal. Drinks, biscuits & snacks provided in all breaks.
Bring your own lunch (access to microwave/hob to heat food).
No accommodation at the centre but Travelodge 1 minutes walk from centre.

Gen Kelsang Dema
Resident Teacher at Chenrezig Buddhist Centre
Gen Kelsang Dema, resident teacher of Chenrezig Kadampa Buddhist Centre, has been a disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for 16 years.
She teaches in a very practical, clear and down-to-earth manner enabling people to easily apply newly gained knowledge in their daily life. Her good sense of humour and a relaxed manner come through in her illuminating teaching style.
Each class is self-contained so you can drop-in at any time. No need to book, just come along, relax and enjoy. There is no physical exercise involved – we sit on chairs unless you wish to sit cross-legged on the floor.
