Meditation Classes for Beginners
If we really want to find peace in our mind we need to learn how to meditate. In these classes Gen Kelsang Dema will explain how we can let go of frustrations, anxiety, stress and other negative minds and replace them with positive, peaceful minds through very simple and easy to practice meditations.
All our classes and events are suitable for beginners and teach how to meditate and reduce stress, anxiety and other negative states of mind. Learn how to become peaceful, relaxed and happy through simple meditation techniques.

5 minutes walk from village via footpath on right shortly after fire station & before St John’s Avenue when walking from centre of village to St John’s Church along Emesgate Lane. Parking available at Institute.

Gen Kelsang Dema
Resident Teacher at Chenrezig Buddhist Centre
Gen Kelsang Dema, resident teacher of Chenrezig Kadampa Buddhist Centre, has been a disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for 16 years.
She teaches in a very practical, clear and down-to-earth manner enabling people to easily apply newly gained knowledge in their daily life. Her good sense of humour and a relaxed manner come through in her illuminating teaching style.
Each class is self-contained so you can drop-in at any time. No need to book, just come along, relax and enjoy. There is no physical exercise involved – we sit on chairs unless you wish to sit cross-legged on the floor.
